Attorney General John Suthers
John Suthers is Colorado’s 37th attorney general, a position he has held since January 2005. Since taking office, Attorney General Suthers has worked to protect Colorado’s children from sexual predators online and to combat mortgage and foreclosure fraud. He helped pass Colorado’s first Internet luring statute, which has resulted in numerous convictions of individuals seeking to prey on Colorado’s children. He secured the passage of legislation designed to prevent mortgage and foreclosure fraud and initiated civil and criminal actions to hold the perpetrators responsible. Suthers also has led Colorado’s fought against drug abuse, chairing a methamphetamine task force and leading efforts to combat prescription drug abuse.
Attorney General Bill Schuette
Since taking the oath of office as Michigan’s top Law Enforcement official, Attorney General Bill Schuette has moved aggressively to protect the public, enforce the law and defend the Constitution. The very first week in office, Schuette launched a new Public Integrity Unit to crack down on corruption at all levels of government. In just the first year, the AG’s Office has filed more than 115 charges and secured six convictions.
Attorney General Greg Abbott
In the truest Texas tradition, Greg Abbott has been dedicated to enforcing the law and protecting Texas taxpayers ever since he was first elected as the 50th Attorney General of Texas in 2002. Shortly after taking office, General Abbott established a Cyber Crimes Unit to arrest criminals who use the Internet to prey upon children, and a Fugitive Unit to arrest convicted sex offenders who violate their parole. These and other law enforcement units within the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) have combined for more than 3,000 arrests during General Abbott’s tenure as the longest-serving attorney general in Texas history.
Attorney General Scott Pruitt
In the first 11 months of office, Attorney General Scott Pruitt has engaged in a multitude of issues on behalf of Oklahoma taxpayers, businesses and families. Under his direction, the Attorney General's Office tripled the number of workers' compensation fraud prosecutions in the state, and by August had recuperated nearly double the amount of taxpayer money lost through Medicaid fraud.
